Buildup's been busy. As a society, we're seeing tectonic shifts in our outlooks. At work, since a significant percentage of our income is federal awards, we're skating on thin ice. At home, I'm so busy I'm dropping over-used and boring metaphors to say what a million other people have said better. But we made it to uhh St. Patty's Day on a monday. Yay!

Ran the Shamrock Half Marathon yesterday in Va. Beach. Very nice weather. I run twice a week usually adding up to 16 miles, so I was in range of finishing. Ran it 7 years ago and was interested to see how my time changed. Lost 10 minutes. But! I also worked 14-16 hours a day for 4 days leading up to the race and was not in the best nutritional shape. Whether that was a phsyiological factor or more psychological since i dialed down my pace in anticipation, we can only speculate. But I had a great time.

The marathon was bracketed by my son's soccer tournament. They're playing in a higher league now and the competition is unforgiving. My son is still just glad to play.

So, what are you, 0 audience, doing for the day? Working? Me too. But hey, you might have noticed something with the image up top. New logo. Like? I put it on a coffee cup and feel like a ... you know, that stage when people print out the buisiness cards and give-away pens and feel like something. That. I've wanted a logo for years, but the writing is always my favorite part of the effort.

Speaking of writing, I'm 50 pages out from the big edit of book IV. Expecting 1 more edit before the beta read. Excited.

Happy St. Monday's Day!
